Cookie policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
This is an English translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
Neither this website nor the OpenMasu application uses tracking or advertising cookies. Our only own cookie remembers the language you choose, and it is exempt from consent. That is why we don’t show you any banner asking you to accept cookies.
1. What your browser stores
When you sign in to the application, your browser stores in its local storage (localStorage) your session token, the light or dark theme if you choose one and, if you go offline, the changes that have not yet reached the server, so they can be sent when you are back. This is strictly necessary for the application to work; the token is deleted when you sign out. It is not used to track you or for advertising, so it does not require your consent (art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE).
2. Language cookie
If you choose a language (with the “English” / “Español” link on this website, with the switch in the app or in your account settings), we store your choice in a cookie:
| Name | Content | Duration | Owner | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
openmasu_lang | “es” or “en” | 1 year | First party: openmasu.com and its subdomains | Remembering the language you chose. |
It is only created when you choose a language; if you don’t, no cookie is stored and we show the language that matches your country or your browser settings. It is a personalization cookie requested by you, so it is exempt from consent (art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE and the Spanish Data Protection Agency’s (AEPD) Guide on the use of cookies). You can delete it from your browser settings.
3. Visit statistics
We count visits with our own installation of Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. The details are in the privacy policy.
4. When you pay
If you subscribe to a plan, payment and the subscription portal open on Stripe’s pages (checkout.stripe.com and billing.stripe.com). There, Stripe uses its own cookies, which are necessary for payment and fraud prevention, according to its cookie policy.
5. How to delete it
You can clear openmasu.com’s local storage and cookies from your browser settings; you will need to sign in again and, if you had chosen one, choose your language again.
6. Changes
If we ever use cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your permission first and update this policy.
